Dear Egbert Intermediate School 2 Teachers, Staff, Parents, Guardians, and Community: August 26, 2021
I am writing to inform you of a change in leadership at Egbert Intermediate School 2. I, first, want to thank Principal Adrienne Stallone for her dedicated years of service to the I.S. 2 community. Please join me in wishing Principal Stallone success in her retirement and new endeavors. She has been a true champion for children and she will be greatly missed for all she has done to ensure a quality education for students.
Effective Wednesday, September 1, 2021, I have named Jill Passantino as Interim Acting Principal at Egbert Intermediate School 2. You will have an opportunity to meet the new principal and learn about her wealth of experience at an upcoming meeting at the school in the near future. Ms. Passantino has been a teacher, Assistant Principal, and most recently, a valued member of the Staten Island Borough Office team as a Borough Instructional Lead. Her expertise and proven track record have been in improving student outcomes, strengthening teacher capacity, and leading impact teacher teams training. She served as the Site Supervisor at the Regional enrichment Center, the Situation Room BCO Liaison and a Principal in Charge at the Summer Rising Program during COVID. She has had opportunities to grow into different positions, which allowed her to lead staff members and students to excellence. Her goal is to continue to grow through new experiences, professional learning, and self-reflection to meet the demands of students. I know you will welcome Jill Passantino into the school community as we anxiously wait to welcome students back to in-person learning on September 13.
I am confident that the entire I.S. 2 community will work together to ensure a smooth transition for the children. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marion Wilson
Superintendent – District 31
